A memo to HillBillary: Please don’t

March 13, 2008 · 5 Comments

The Clinton camp, or as I call them the HillBillaries, released a memo where they questioned Obama’s capacity to become Commander-in-Chief. Fair enough. You know how I feel about Obama - comparing him to Mandela and reminding him of the burden of hope. So I’ll stand up for the next President against the HillBillary Republicans-in-stealth politicking. If she wants to play that game - then fine. Here is a memo to her. Using the same questions and style - and tweaking it a bit to make it fit.

Memo to HillBillary

Senator Obama Clinton has thus far failed to answer key questions about his her qualifications to meet the Commander-in-Chief President test. The following are questions that Senator Obama Clinton should address:

Will you stand by your definitive commitment to removing keep all combat brigades from in Iraq indefinitely within 16 months to support your vote for war, or will you, as your former advisor you said do, not rely on “some plan being the number one recipient of campaign contributions by the defense industryyou “crafted as a presidential candidate or as a US Senator?”

Do you regret that you have never held any substantive hearings on Afghanistan voting against the war or any other related subject, since you became chairman of the subcommittee on European Affairs in January 2007 a Senator and serious contender?

Do you agree with General McPeak Geraldine Ferraro that you are more qualified to be commander in chief President because you don’t “go on television and have crying fits aren’t black?” Are Were you prepared to remove General McPeak Geraldine Ferraro from your campaign for what is viewed by many as a sexist racist comment - or did you just let her go quietly with only ambiguous words from you?

Are you still willing to not meet separately, without precondition, during the first year any stage of an Obama Clinton administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea? Are there any circumstances in which you would not conduct such meetings as a so-called foreign affairs specialist?

As voters evaluate you as a potential Commander-in-Chief President, do you think it’s legitimate for people to be concerned that you have traveled to only one NATO country been on holiday in many countries but not to the real hotspots of global conflict - Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea, on a brief stopover trip in 2005, and have never traveled to Latin America these countries?

Earlier in the campaign you were asked how you would respond to a terrorist attack on two cities in the United States. You talked about the need for an effective emergency response but were initially unclear about the need for a military response. What do you think that says about your readiness to be Commander-in-Chief to be another President that will go into war when you can’t even see or find the enemy or are unclear who or where the enemy might be such as was the case of Iraq?

You publicly broadcast your willingness to attack Pakistan unilaterally anyone who stands in your way of becoming President, a statement which caused unrest in that this country and amongst Democrats especially. Recognizing that we need to combat terrorism extremism and bigotry wherever it exists, do you wish you would have made your comments in a way that didn’t cause unrest?

HillBillary. Two can play this game. But the difference is that Obama doesn’t want to get involved in a pig fight or mud slinging. It sticks and smells in there. So we’ll just have to do it for him. We are willing to come down to your level. And when the Mac comes - we’ll take him on as well. Please don’t go there. We have too much respect for you. You don’t need to be a Republican wannabe. We want to remember you as either the first serious woman contender or the first woman President. Make us proud. Don’t play the Republican game - that will come later. It doesn’t look good on you. And we want to remain proud of you and know that you are one of us - where who you are defines how we talk and treat each other. You are a Democrat - be proud, but be just.

I predict that Obama will not be a father to this nation. He shall get involved with mudslinging attacks. He shall call anyone who oppoeses him a bigot and a danger to our country. He shall not get kudos for drawing down our troops in Iraq because we are already drawing down those troops.

Hey, EmptyheadedEngineer, want to put any money on those predictions? Otherwise it’s just hot air. And you’ve already lost on the “we are already drawing down those troops” nonsense.

Nice post. Those are excellent questions and we need answers from both candidates.

He needs to go and take Pelosi and Dean with him. It is against the DNC rules to “cross-over” and he broke them for the sake of winning something he has no idea how to do. What’s he doing offering miss Pelosi the VC? She is weak and incompetent just like Barko. Birds of a feather. So he wins all the red states…woopie!…it just isn’t getting it and caucuses are not the voice of the popular vote!!!!!!!!!! Damned blaming Hillbilly for every defect of Obamas is getting old. Damned victims. Get your head out of your arses. He’s incompetent face it!
